Manchester City’s new £50 million man Raheem Sterling has been quoted at 11/4 with Bet365 to fire off ten or more goals in next season’s Premier League campaign.
If he cracks off ten then that would come at a cost of £5 million per goal. That’s a high expense for the Citizens but Sterling has yet to manage to break into double figures for a season, netting seven last term for Liverpool and nine the season before.
Even though Raheem Sterling is a huge asset, are they taking a risk?
Given the players that they have, Sterling is likely only going to be a wide player in the set up and that is reflected in the price of 1/4 that Bet365 have on him to fall short of double figures.
He may not be there to weigh heavily in on the goals, but to supply Sergio Aguero who is 7/2 favourite to win the Premier League Golden Boot.
Sterling is an 11/10 quote to score in either of the 2015/16 league games against Liverpool, which would be sticking the knife in a bit to Reds fans.
