Liverpool go to London on Sunday to face a QPR team who are bottom of the Premier League with only one win so far this campaign. Liverpool are not in the best of form either sitting ninth in the league having dropped some poor points against West Ham and Aston Villa last month.
Looking at their results both teams are hard to judge, a Liverpool win in this tie seems the more likely result as QPR have not won a game since the 1-0 victory against Sunderland in August. Liverpool have a goal difference of 0 at the moment having scored 10 goals and conceded 10 goals. QPR on the other hand have a poor -11 goal difference having scored only 4 goals and conceded 15 already.
Liverpool to score over 2.5 goals @13/10 Bet365 could be a decent bet if Liverpool are on form on Sunday. The fact Liverpool have a big Champions League game Wednesday against Real Madrid is also to be kept in mind. The last two games before a Champions League game Liverpool have lost and drawn to both Aston Villa and Everton respectively.
Injury wise Liverpool will be without Allen and Flanagan with Sakho and Sturridge both a doubt to start. In the goalscorer market Liverpool striker Mario Ballotelli doesn’t look a very attractive bet with his short temper and bad form thus far this season.
If I was to pick someone to score I would be sticking with the reliable Steven Gerrard, who still takes the free kicks and penalties so are always in with a shout. QPR are yet to give away a penalty this season but with Rio Ferdinand at centre back the penalty could be coming.
