Chelsea and Arsenal will take to the field on Sunday in what should be one of the best EPL games this week. The Blues come off the back of a 3-0 win against Aston Villa in the Premier League and Arsenal managed to score a late goal against the Spurs to draw their previous league game 1-1.
Whilst Arsenal still remain unbeaten in the 2014/15 English Premier League they have only won two games with the rest ending in draws. They have lacked that killer instinct in some games although the 4-1 demolition of Turkish side Galatasaray in their Champions League group game during the week shows just what Arsenal is actually capable of, although you wouldn’t expect Chelsea to show the same defensive weaknesses.
Of course, newly signed Cesc Fàbregas will be taking on his old side Arsenal on Sunday. The big question is whether he will be able to score his first goal for the Blues, much like Frank Lampard did for Man City against Chelsea the other week.
This same game last year saw Chelsea win 6-0 although you can’t expect Arsenal to be as bad this game. They are a much better team this time around with Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez the two new star signings, which add a lot of pace going forward. But it’s their defense that might be the problem they have only managed to keep Aston Villa scoreless this season and if Wenger’s men go out and attack Chelsea they could get punished.
The head-to-head stats don’t look good for Arsenal. The Gunners haven’t beat the Blues in 11 games but even though it’s tempting to back a Chelsea win we like the both teams to score betting market. You can get odds of 8/11 at Bet365 for both teams to score.
