Two more steps for Andy Murray in his quest to land his second Wimbledon title. The great British hope faces the seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer in the semi final on Friday and frankly there’s nothing to chose between them (if you don’t count the pretty big age gap).
Federer has played some sublime stuff through the competition, although he did churn out a high unforced error count in his quarter final against Gilles Simon. Maybe that is because it was just too easy for him and he took his eye off the ball.
Murray trails Federer by one match in the previous head to heads and has lost the last three in a row against the Swiss superstar. Murray also lost the only previous Wimbledon meeting too, back in the 2012 Final. However, he is favourite to win the semi final showdown with Federer as Murray (and his ever expanding staff) seems to really have his game in top gear.
No-one has been returning better than Murray at SW19 this term and he is 8/11 to beat Federer with legendary opponent out at 11/10 with Bet365. This will be too close to call for a lot of punters, and it looks more than likely to go over three sets. Enjoy up to a 50% win bonus on successful tennis acca (select markets) at Bet365 too!
