It’s the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour this week and Tiger Woods has decided to play, not that anyone will be paying much attention to him in the outright winner market nor as he makes his way around the course.
He is ranked 187th in the FedExCup so needs a stellar week if he is going to climb into the top 125. The top 125 in the standings at the end of the Wyndham qualify for The Barclays, the first of the Fedexcup C Play-Off tournaments which gets underway this month.
So big FedexCup points at stake this week and it is Brooks Koepka who is leading the market as 14/1 favourite after his solid T5 at the US PGA recently.
He is being closely tracked by Brandt Snedeker at 16/1 who was a winner at Sedgefield in 2007 and has booked another three top 10 finishes following that at the tournament. The only other man in the Wyndham field coming in under twenties is Hideki Matsuyama who is trading at 18/1.
Bookmaker Betfair have a nice golf betting offer promotion up and running for the Wyndham Championship this week. Get yourself a pre-tournament wager down on the outright winner and if your player is leading at the end of any day but doesn’t land the title, then you will get your lost stake refunded as a free bet. The maximum refund is £25.
