Even though we have an odd televised Friday night Premier League fixture today, the first televised live match from the English top flight this term is on Saturday lunchtime and it features Stoke v Manchester City.
This is an interesting rematch between these two because in last season’s coming together in the Potteries, it was Stoke who carded a 2-0 win to upset the apple cart a bit. The Potters have only lost one of their eight previous home matches in the Premier League against the Citizens and if you take out that one defeat (2015) then they have shipped just four goals in the other seven games against Man City.
So pretty good, but then Manchester City looked impressive in their 5-0 demolition of Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League during the week. Sergio Aguero is clearly reaping the benefits of new boss Pep Guardiola and he has six goals in six previous EPL games against Stoke. This should be pretty interesting and City are 8/11 for the win, with Stoke at 9/2.
As this is the first televised match on Saturday if you place a pre match wager on the game at Paddy Power and your selection is losing at half time, then you will get a lost stake refund up to £25! This betting offer applies to the first televised game from the Premier League on a Saturday and Sunday.
