It is back to the oche at the start of February for some more top action. It has already been a busy year with Michael van Gerwen winning the World Championship. Now the spotlight switches back to the Premier League of Darts where yes, Mighty Mike is also the reigning champion after beating Phil Taylor in last season’s final. The big Dutchman is a force of nature in the game and is favourite to go out and sweep the Premier League crown once again.
The 2017 Premier League Darts season gets underway on February 2nd and will run through to May 11, so every week you get some cracking darts action to get stuck into. The Play Offs will be hosted at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday, May 18th. So it is a long season with ten players entering the fray at the start of the season. Then the bottom two players in the table drop out, leaving the final eight to battle it out for the four spots available on Play Off night.
Phil Taylor only gets back into the competition through a wildcard entry this season as he was outside of the top four in the Order of Merit (who automatically get places). Jelle Klaasen and Kim Huybrechts come into the tournament over Robert Thornton and Michael Smith who were dropped. So another big season of darts comes along and to celebrate the arrival of the great season of Premier League darts, Bookmaker Paddy Power have come up with a promotion to enjoy throughout the season.
They have launched a 3 Up You Win promotion to enjoy on the PDC Premier League Darts for the action that runs through the month of February. What happens is that if you back a match winner (pre-match) and that player goes 3 legs up at any stage in the match, then you will be paid out immediately as a winner! This does apply to pre-match singles only on the Match Betting market. Note that if the player goes 3 legs up in the match and you are paid out, you won’t be paid out again if he wins the game too.
On week one there is a heavyweight clash between Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen to look forward too, while Phil Taylor takes on Dave Chisnall. You will be paid out immediately for a 3 Leg lead and that is irrespective of whether or not the backed selection wins or not. This applies to all Premier League Darts matches in February (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd). There is now max bet applied to the Paddy Power Premier League Darts offer. Don’t forget to enjoy live in-play betting through the season as well with the bookmaker.
