Well it is Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s 49th and final career fight on Saturday night as he takes on Andre “The Beast” Berto. Remember how just back in May just about every sports page you stumbled across was hyping up Mayweather’s bout with Manny Pacquiao?
Well, his latest fight against Berto is flying so low under the radar that promoters have been struggling to sell out the tickets.
That’s because it is has been suggested that Mayweather has taken the easy way out for his final fight, by selecting a below-par opponent to sign off against.
Mayweather has beaten the best in the world during his 48-0 career but Berto isn’t seen as one of them, and should Mayweather win his 49th fight he will equal the record that legend Rocky Marciano posted in his career.
Mayweather is defending his WBC title for the fifth time and is in such a class above Berto that this should be a dour no-contest.
Bookmaker Betfair have gone with a betting offer promotion for the fight where you can place a pre-fight Round Betting single on Mayweather v Berto and if the fight doesn’t go the distance they will refund your lost stake on round betting as a free bet up to £25.
