It is the one year anniversary of Jules Bianchi’s fatal crash in Japan as the season heads to Suzuka this weekend.
There was a retirement by World Championship leader Lewis Hamilton last week in Singapore, with Sebastian Vettel nipping in for the win, taking advantage of the demise of the Mercedes driver.
It hasn’t done a lot for the likely outcome of the F1 Drivers World Championship standing with Hamilton still leading teammate Rosberg by 41 points and Vettel another eight points adrift. But the win in Singapore may have raised the expectations that Ferrari driver Vettel can get himself back in the title hunt with just a half dozen Grands Prix to go.
Vettel is 10/3 to pull out a win on the weekend, not really touching the dominance of Lewis Hamtil who is 8/11 favourite and Nico Rosberg who is at 7/2. Hamilton is the defending champion after his win there last year, but Vettel has a huge history here winning four times in the last six years at Suzuka. So he has to have a presence in pushing for a podium finish.
