England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Can any of them go on to lift the 2015 Rugby World Cup title? Well there is a lot of expectation riding on the considerably broad shoulders of the English as they go as host nation and will have the extra man advantage as they say, by having (for most games) the Twickenham roar behind their backs.
England go as 5/1 second favourites for the tournament with only reigning champions New Zealand at a shorter price.
Ireland (10/1 outright winner) arguably have the easiest group of the home nations as they really only have to go up against Six Nations rivals France in Pool D. If they win that group there should be an easy quarter final match for them, so you can easily project Ireland in the semis.
Wales, who finished fourth four years ago, have to fight with England and Australia for a place in the quarter finals and you just never know with the Welsh just what they will pull out of their hats.
Scotland should be able to qualify from Pool B pretty easily. While they are likely to miss out on top spot because of the presence of South Africa, the Springboks haven’t been in great form and so the Scots could spring a surprise.
